Science Engineer visit 10/03/25

Year 5 had a special visit from and engineer, where he spoke all about his time in the MOD, sharing some of his experiences of his role as an engineer for the Ministry of Defence. After Simon's visit, the children took part in a competition, where they designed a new piece of engineering for a problem of their choice. All of the posters get sent to the engineers, graded, and sent back with a certificate. One lucky winner may even get their design made for real!

Christmas Service

Congratulations to Wilf for winning the sports cup at our Christmas service! Well deserved.

Bikeability

At the start of the term, Year 5 had a week of 'Bikeability' where they re taught basic bike riding skills, as well as taught how to check their bikes to make sure it safe. After this, the children were taken off site on their bikes, learning the rules of the road for a cyclist and how to stay safe whilst out and about!

Science light assembly (28/03/35)

Well done to all of our Year 5's for putting on a fantastic assembly all about light (and milk!). Thankyou to all the parents and carers who came to show their support and for all the lovely messages regarding Mr Panter's and Mr Armitage's show writing talents.

Kents Cavern trip

As an immersion into our Blue John sequence in English, Year 5 took a trip to Kents Cavern, where we took part in a woodland trail, artifact handling and most excitingly, we got to explore the caves!
